The type of body for buses and trucks more than 10,000 lbs GVWR. (Refer to Appendix K for chart displaying types of cargo body types.)

The information it provides can be important in helping FMCSA make decisions on regulatory strategies for different types of motor vehicles. This data element is collected at the scene because FMCSA requires reporting within 90 days.
